Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-04 · Controller / seller: Tianxin Wang (individual), MacHands (MacDisk AI / 外盘智管)
1. Scope
This policy describes how the macOS app MacHands (also MacDisk AI / 外盘智管) handles information when you install and use it, and how the seller handles information if you purchase a license or email support.
2. Data processed on your Mac (local)
Most processing happens on your device:
- Paths and metadata of folders/files you scan or select — to build relocation candidates. Stored in local app support files.
- Expansion volume identity (volume UUID) — to remember your chosen external disk.
- Move / journal / audit logs — for copy → verify → replace and restore. Local store and journal on the expansion volume.
- Optional planner API key — macOS Keychain only, when you save it.
- License entitlement state — from the payment provider’s license signal when you purchase.
Full Disk Access, if granted, is used to scan reclaimable user data you choose to manage — not to exfiltrate passwords. The app does not read Mail or Messages content.
3. Network
- Default / offline: Heuristic planning can run without sending file contents to us.
- Optional AI planner: If you enable it and provide an API key, plan requests go from your Mac to that provider under their privacy terms.
- Purchases: Mac App Store IAP is the primary paid path and follows Apple’s privacy terms. A Paddle $49 one-time checkout is a backup when enabled; that processor then receives payment data under their privacy policy. We may receive your email, order ID, and license status to deliver support and entitlements.
4. What the seller collects
If you email support or complete a purchase outside the App Store, we may receive the email address and message you send, plus order / license metadata from the payment provider (not full card numbers). We do not sell personal data.
5. Retention
Local app data remains on your devices until you delete the app or clear its support files / Keychain entry. Support emails are kept as long as needed to resolve your request. Payment providers retain transaction records per their policies and law.
6. Your choices
- Do not grant Full Disk Access if you do not want broad scanning.
- Leave Dry-run enabled until you are ready to move data.
- Do not save an API key if you do not want third-party planner calls.
- Manage licenses or refunds through the channel you used (direct checkout or Apple).
7. Children
The Software is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).
